I have the older camera adapter (not sure if it is (M9861G/A or M9861G/B). When I plug it in, the iPad pops up a message that says "This accessory is not supported by iPad". I do not see it going over well myself, but counting the pre order numbers I just might be wrong. I am not going to through in the towel yet. Lets give these people some time to actually work with the device and see how they like it. I can say that if anyone bought it for a laptop replacement they will be disappointed. .
